Spouses

Spouses are not allowed to drive any licensed hackney carriage vehicle or private hire vehicle (even if it is for social and domestic purposes only) unless they hold the appropiate licence, doing so will result in prosecution.

On occasions insurance companies have included spouses on policies but this does not override the above legislation.
