Etiquette=Gentlemanly Behaviour=Fair Play....... Some of you are not playing the game! We have complaints of drivers doing a quick u-turn onto the rank in front of others...Taking a fare from down the rank, when a colleague has been waiting longer up front ... giving false locations over the radio...etc...etc...etc... We are all in this game to earn a living, lets do it fairly. Its not good to cheat and its not clever! If you see a cab trying to pull out into traffic, then please give way. Send that fare up to the first cab on the rank. Be decent, eh? Life is hard enough without your mates being upset by your bad behaviour. And if any of this applies to YOU, then get a life!!! |

Attacks |

We can also let you know about a Medway colleague, who suffered an attack and attempted robbery. The Police have the offenders in custody and are awaiting a court date for attempted robbery. Hopefully this will send out a clear message to any would be offender in the future! |

Our association is still extremely active, as you will have seen from previous newsletters. A lot is now going on and Sgt Mark Carron is in contact with our local MP's, who are working together on this safety issue for the Taxi trade..... More news on this as it breaks! |

Crime Reports |

Anyone who has a Crime Report Number from the past, that the Police have issued; Could you please dig it out and hand it to your M.L.T.D.A. Rep. This can specifically help and strengthen our fight for funding, for the CCTV to be granted. |

Parking |

|
The M.L.T.D.A. are still very active on this issue, that is causing the Trade a great of problems. Mike Smith is working hard towards holding a crisis meeting with Parking. We have also involved Licensing and hope to arrange a meeting with all parties concerned, in order to clarify and quantify the working practice of the Taxi trade to Parking. |
